A small instruction sheet is included to help with location of parts

JV MODELS : FEURLEITPANZER SD.KFZ 7/3

JV Models Have produced this simple conversion set that enables us to change the Hasagawa SdKfz 7/3
8 ton halftrack
into the Feurleitpanzer A4/V2 Observation Vehicle.

PARTS
The kit is crisply cast in JV Models usual white resin, and only a little sanding/filing is needed. The conversion set comprises 2 half sections that join to make the enclosed observation rear plus replacment rear fenders and 2 boxes. (I will be adding some additional detail myself)

CONSTRUCTION
The fit of parts is good with a little filling needed in some areas. All the hatches, view ports and doors are cast shut which is a bit disapointing however the walls are cast thin enough that it should not be much trouble to open them. When the main section is built the interior area is hollow leaving an option to scratch build a detailed interior if you wish. The only real difficulty with construction is cutting the Hasagawa kit to enable the conversion to sit on the back of the chassis, also it isn't totally clear where the conversion set sits/connects to the chassis so a good source of reference will be handy.

CONCLUSION
In my opinion this is a nice little conversion set that builds into a good representation of the Sd.Kfz 7/3 Observation Vehicle whether you build it straight from the box or prefer to take it that little bit further and I would definately recommend this kit to modellers with a soft spot for the A4/V2 Missile Programme or are looking for something a little bit different for there model collection.

To complete this vehicle you will also need to buy a Hasagawa 8 ton halftrack. They can be picked up at most good Hobby Shops for a reasonable price

Particular attention is required when attaching the conversion set to the Hasagawa Sd.Kfz 7/3 Hull and some filling will be required

* I again found the A4/V2 Resource Site invaluable as a source of reference when building this kit and in particular Albert Koopmans 1/35 Scale Observation Vehicle. Or you can check out my V2 book section for alternative reference material.
