JV MODELS: MEILER WAGEN

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The
JV Meiler Wagen is 1 of 3 I own and I would have to say that I feel this is my favourite one. My first impression of the kit was not so great after seeing all the flash present but it soon changed.

A good instruction sheet and colour reference is included

PARTS
There are a lot of parts to this one and they are cast in a white resin that holds a lot of detail. The excess flash mentioned above is very easy to remove from the casting with no damage to detail. (I used a hobby knife and various files).

CONSTRUCTION
Surprising once the parts are cleaned the assembly is quite straight forward as a very good instruction sheet is present. Also the vehicle seems to have almost all the parts included to make an accurate model but I would recommend some reference material to help with construction*. The vehicle can be positioned in launch or travelling position and this is a nice touch. There is a wire included with the kit that you have to shape the ladder runs from and this for me was the only drawback with the kit. (pretty time consuming)

PACKAGING
The kit comes supplied in JV Models usual sturdy white card box with a picture of the vehicle on the front and an instruction sheet included, no decal are present.

CONCLUSION
This is a nice kit and a lot of fun to put together with the only negative having to create the ladder runs and due to this don't feel this is a good kit for beginners. Both the Condor and JV Models A4/V2 fit well on this kit and it will make a very nice addition to any small scale modellers collection. I would definately recommend it to fellow modeller.

The same pattern of wheel is used in both Planet and JV Models V2 related vehicles
It is clear from the pics that there is quite a lot of flash present on this kit.
This is the wire that is supplied with the kit that you have to create the runs of the ladder from. (great fun!!!!)
* Mainly I have been using the Operation Backfire Report as a reference for my Meiler Wagens as well as books and drawings. Check out my V2 book section for listings.
