JV MODELS : A4/V2 Missile
As you can see this is a very simple kit but when put together and painted should look very interesting.

PARTS AND CONTRUCTION
The kit consists of 2 halfs of the rocket cast in JV Models white resin. The replicated canvas cover is nicely cast and even has the attachment buttons that run the length of the missile The kit seems to be exactly the same size as the Condor V2 so I would guess that this was maybe used as a base. The halves are cast hollow so there is abosolutely no weight to the finished kit.

PACKAGING
The kit comes in a reasonably sturdy white box with a b/w picture of the missile on the front, a little colour instruction sheet is included giving 2 different camouflage patterns. No decals are provided and I'm sure none are required.

CONCLUSION
This is an interesting variant for any V2 enthusiast and saves the modeller a fair bit of work. The full Meiler Wagen with V2 and towing vehicle would make a nice addition to anY modellers collection. The Missile fits nicely onto the locking points on the JV Meiler Wagen yet is a little long for the Planet version.

You can find reference material relating to the camouflage patterns of the A4/V2 and its support vehicles at the V2 resource site and also in varison books

There is one other version of the A4/V2 under cover that would be an interesting one to see done. A frame was built around the V2 to allow a cover to be spread over it that gave the V2 a box like shape when viewed from the air.

It would be interesting to see this done for use in a diorama just as the canvas is being pulled over. Maybe a bit to much to expected even from resin manufacturers

If anyone hears about any other A4/V2 1/72 and 1/76 scale missiles on the market feel free to drop me a line and let me know
